We primarily focus on systems and visual design for tabletop games and related media. We conceptualize, prototype, design, develop, playtest, write, creatively direct, and deploy. We can take something from concept to print-ready or just fill in for portions where you need some extra help.
If it's creative work, we can probably do it. And if we can't do it in-house, we have a network of artists, illustrators, and other creatives we've worked with over the years who we can subcontract and manage so you don't need to even think about it.
We’re able to create a game from the ground up to be exactly to what you’re looking for. Do you have intellectual property you’d like a game for but don’t know where to start? Do you have a hole in your catalog you’re looking to fill or a specific opportunity you need something for? We’ve got you. You can be as involved or uninvolved as you like, though we approach projects like this looking to make exactly what you want--not what we might want--and love the opportunity to closely collaborate with clients. We’re also cool with fully white-label projects if that’s what you need.
We’re also happy to fill in whatever gaps you might have in your creative pipeline. We do projects as small as a quick rulebook edit, card frame layout, or component render - so whatever your need, no matter the scale, we can help. We’ll also work with whatever your budget is and a variety of financial structures, which allows us to do work we’re excited about even if there isn’t a lot of money in it.
We also can’t help ourselves from making whatever games we think of, so we have a constantly-changing portfolio of designs we’re looking to pitch to publishers. If you’re looking for games to sign, with or without the visual work done, please let us know and we’d be happy to show you what we’ve got!
While we primarily work on tabletop games, we also do large-scale experiential activations, creative consulting, visual design, and art direction for clients as diverse as Netflix, Marvel, and the Yale Center for British Art.
We also do workshops, panels, and keynote speaking engagements that build on our creative background in a wide variety of settings, serving a wide variety of needs. We've done everything from B2B talks about game design to university lecturing to corporate team-building and creative development. We've even written lesson plans for utilizing games in the classroom.
